I sustained an eye injury that requires 2 separate surgeries.  My gold card covered the diagnosis but they want $2500 up front for each operation. Honestly if I had $5000 I would not be going to Ben Taub for help!  If I can't get the help,  I am looking at permanent blindness in my eye.    I am in a gap in the coverage. I work, but do not make enough to pay for "Affordable" health care. Because I work my gold card will not cover the treatment. 

I HATE to ask for help, but my savings are gone and I am forced into this.  At least if I end up going with out sight I tried....
