Drowning In Bills, Medical , Mortgage. PLEASE HELP

My name is Will Kohler. Some of you know me through my years of advocacy work for others. Others from my website Back2Stonewall.com. I am 62 and have recently become disabled and nobody is ready for it when this happens. For the past 2 years, I have been suffering from infections in first my left foot and then my right ankle. I am in constant pain and can barely hobble to the bathroom. My Doctor says the foot will have to be amputated in the next few weeks/months up to the knee. Medical bills, equipment, hospital stays, and medications have wiped out my savings and retirement fund because I have been unable to work. I have applied for disability retirement but it is extremely backed logged because of COVID and I am almost out of funds to live on while I wait. And they are estimating another 3-4 months of processing

I am down to my last $400. The mortgage is $1,100 a month. Food, electricity, medicine, and durable medical equipment: wheelchair, balance bars, ramps etc. for me for the next 4 months. It's overwhelming. I have tried every social service department available in my area. To no luck.

I hate to ask this for this at all. I know it's a bad time for everyone. But if some funds aren't raised soon and my 3 cats will be screwed.

It's been a rough two years in and out of the hospital 5 times in 2022 alone and 2023 looks like it's not going to be much better. If I could just make it until my disability/retirement is FINALLY processed I'll be okay.

But I need help till then

Also I'm looking for any in-kind usable free or low-cost used durable medical equipment, ramps, walker, and wheelchair in the NKY/Cincy area. Until this gets sorted I am a prisoner in my own home and that is not healthy physically or mentally.
