A week before our Beer Fest last year our hot-smoker caught fire and burnt down our Dog House; the little shed we use to make and hot-smoke our homemade sausages and slow-cooked meats.

The fire melted the aluminium parts on the smoker and plastic caught in the fire contaminated the smoker itself. we have been getting by on a temporary one since but it is not suitable for purpose anymore.

We hope to raise enough money to buy a new, larger smoker to get the Dog House up and running and increase capacity at the same time. Thus allowing the business to grow and continue to serve our now famous hot smoked Cumberland hot-dogs.

With your ongoing support through the challenges of COVID, Cost of Living etc; we've managed to grow the business; winning CAMRA's Cumbria Pub of the Year last year and Cumbria Food Awards Pub of the Year this year, however now we feel we need your help more than ever to see this local pub survive and continue to grow as a community hub.
