 Together we can provide lifesaving help to the most vulnerable people in Somalia during the drought catastrophe

We (the Danish Refugee Council) send out this extraordinary appeal to well-wishers and good Samaritans around the world to join hands with us in providing life-saving support to the most vulnerable victims of the drought catastrophe in Somalia.

We need your support to reach our 300,000 USD fundraising goal. Together, we can reach thousands of more people in need. Our collective effort has been formed as a voluntary project. We are committed to ensuring that we deliver quick and meaningful relief to Somali people who are in dire need of our support in this time of crisis. Please donate whatever you can $5, $10, $20 or more. For every $60 donated, DRC will add another $20. An $80 cash grant will be paid to some of the most vulnerable households throughout Somalia. $80 is enough to cover the basic expenses of a family of 7 for one month.

Over the past month, DRC has provided such Multipurpose Cash Assistance to over 16,516 households in Benadir, Galkayo, Baidoa and Dollow districts. However, the needs are much higher and more families are displaced by the drought. With this campaign, DRC hopes to raise $300,000 in donations to provide life-saving assistance to another 5,000 families as soon as possible.
