Drotleff Family Recovery Fund

Donation protected
On November 25th there was a fire at the Drotleff family home. The first responders did an amazing job containing the fire to the garage saving the main part of the home. Leo, a fourth grader at Wilkins, and his mom, Kate, are ok however the primary caretaker Ted suffered second and third degree burns over his body and will undergo many surgeries.

Ted is a well-loved and active member of the Amherst and Scouting communities. He is always one of the first people to help anyone in need. He helped build both the Joshua Park and Clark playgrounds. Ted is the Cub Scout Pack 613 popcorn kernel, helping to ensure the scouts have the best opportunities possible.  This is a difficult time for Ted not only in his physical road to recovery but with his mental health knowing that he is not able to do the things that he does every day.  He takes great pride in everything he does and in his love for his family. It is time we give back and take care of him.

We are raising money to help offset the expenses that insurances will not cover, and cover costs of the family visiting Ted in Boston during his recovery.

Hugs and prayers to the Drotleff family
