Drop in Dance Winnipeg Needs Your Support

Donation protected

Hi everyone.
You may not know me, and that is more than ok. I'm a local artist and arts supporter here in Winnipeg MB. My name is Reba Terlson and my pronouns are she/her
As we know due to Covid-19 and the new Winnipeg Restrictions of Code Red many small business's in our city are suffering and desperately need our help.
As of the new Code Red restrictions  in occurrence of November 12, 2020 Drop
in Dance Winnipeg had to shut their doors for their studio to abide by new
restrictions.

I will be donating this money to Drop in Dance Winnipeg  as a Christmas gift so all donations must be in by December 24, 2020 at 12 am CST.
And believe me, I will be donating.

Drop In Dance Winnipeg is Manitoba's first drop-in style studio. Offering the community of Winnipeg, and it’s visitors a safe and welcoming space to dance.

They welcome dancers of all ages, & all abilities. Whether you are new to dance or are continuing your training, you are always welcome at Drop in Dance Winnipeg. So start your journey with us today!

Now, Maria  the owner of Drop of in Dance Winnipeg, doesn't know I'm doing this but she soon will.

Drop in Dance Winnipeg needs your help to stay afloat during these tough times. As mandated by our silly government they are not considered an " essential"
service.

I call BS Brian Pallister.

Drop in Dance Winnipeg has done so much for me during covid and quarantine. It's created a second home where anyone can feel safe and welcome to dance, it's created a dance family for me that I didn't know I could have. It has created an online community as I take virtual classes first in spring and again as we go into our second lockdown.
It has been the best artistic outlet for me in terms of making art in 2020.

I get it. 2020 has literally been a shit year for all of us. We have been told to stay at home when we can, but many of us still have jobs and mortgages and rent to pay.

As an artist, I understand more than ever if your job has been taken away due to covid or if you have had reduced hours or if you can no longer work during these times, especially for those of you that are immuno-comprised.

I  know all of these things and yet, I am still asking for a favour.
Please, if you can, support Drop in Dance Winnipeg.

Unlike most dance studios that might be run by multiple people, Maria Rawluk is a one person machine that runs Drop in Dance.
But like an amazing 'effin machine.

She owns this studio, she is her own business woman. She does everything, she
runs programs, teaches drop in classes, she made sure all of us were safe with
new health regulations asap when the dance studio reopened. She teaches and
hires incredible teachers that are so supportive of everyone's dance journey
( I myself have only  been dancing for a year but I can tell you Drop in is like no
place else)

Please if you can donate it would mean so much. Even a dollar. Even five dollars.
All of the money will go directly towards Drop in so they can keep paying their
bills and their teachers for teaching online classes during these times when the
studio can't be open.

It is a small business that would definitely run the risk of closing during these
times and Maria, and Drop in Dance Winnipeg need us.

After all that they've done for me, this is the least I can do for them.

Anything will help, and I can't thank you  enough even for reading this.
Stay safe.
Be well.
xoxo
