January 6th Heather Brown went to the ER with horrible head pains, dizziness, and memory issues. She had always had migraines but this was different. She passed out on the 1st day at her new job. She was waiting for new insurance before she went to the DR. Friends and Family finally convinced her to go. Upon her visit Heather was told she had the biggest Brain Tumor her Dr had ever seen. She underwent an extensive surgery where the Dr was only able to remove a grape size amount of her grapefruit sized tumor.
The last few weeks have been a blur, she was sent home but is now back in the hospital. She will have surgery again in a few days for Drs to try to remove the remainder of the tumor.
With all of this she is having short term memory issues as well as trouble walking and with her balance. The tumor is pressing on her nerves that control these functions.
As you all know she is a single gal, so being in the hospital and not working is going to be challenging for her to pay her bills. She is very modest and would never ask for help but I told her this was not a time to be that way. She needs our help. Any little bit counts. We are not sure when she will be able to return to work. Thank you so much for all of your prayers and well wishes!
She greatly appreciates it! Heather has a great sense of humor and has named her tumor FRED. Hence the name of the campaign is "Drop Dead Fred."
