Saving the Vine School in Uganda

Help now to save lives and futures of 100+ impoverished children and orphans at The Vine School in Uganda!

A little bit of giving can make a huge difference to a child in one impoverished village outside of Masaka, Uganda.

In this village, most of the children have rarely seen a car or truck and have never ridden in one. Until recently they had to walk miles with yellow jugs to get muddy water that had to be boiled for them to drink it. Now the school that offers education for children of impoverished families in this village, and orphans who have no other home or family to go to, is soon going to be closed by the government...

unless we raise funds immediately to save this project and continue offering hope for a future for these children.

The Vine School for Children in Uganda, Africa is a school for orphans and children whose families cannot afford the usual school fees. It is facilitated by a local Ugandan man named Moses Byarugaba who was led by his loving heart for God to leave his corporate job, sell his home, and build the school to help these impoverished children get an education.

The local government is threatening to shut down the school if they do not build new latrines immediately. Moses must get funds to build new latrines within one week.

The Vine School is very dear to my heart and I have been very involved in helping Moses keep the school running for these children. When I first discovered this school in 2012, I was amazed that the children were staring at my water bottle like it was a candy bar. They desired and valued even one swallow of clean, pure water. Little ones were reaching out asking "Please, can I have some?" I found the children gathering muddy water that was shared with the animals. In 2016, with the Wells for Wells project, we were able to bring the assistance they needed to get clean running water that is still used today, this was done in memory of my father, Chip Wells, who died in 2016. Only last year I learned that the unnamed baby Moses and his wife had when I visited in 2012, carries my name. Moses said they saw me as a sign of hope and decided to name their daughter after me. Please help me fulfill Moses’s vision of hope for these children.

We need your help to keep this project alive for the children who attend this school. The school houses and educates orphans and children who have dreams of changing their community and world for the better.

Please donate now, every little bit helps! Tell others! We have little time and beautiful lives are standing in hope and need.
