WHO ARE WE?

DRK Beauty is a mental health and wellness platform that is the home for Black, Latinx, South Asian, East Asian, and all women of color to discover, experience and build their unique well-being journey. Our community will be able to access a broad range of affordable resources (live group sessions, curated content, courses, etc.) from culturally responsive therapists, faith-based teachers and practitioners of various spiritual, healing and occupational modalities.

We also offer free therapy to women of color through our non-profit initiative, DRK Beauty Healing- one of America’s leading free mental health resources. We believe our holistic approach to healing will ultimately empower our community across the globe to forge their unique path to wellness.

WHY ARE WE DOING THIS?

For centuries, women of color have been forced by societal, cultural, and political pressures to remain strong in all aspects of our lives. Healing was never a part of our existing or aspirational vocabulary. Because we had no other option, strength without rest was and continues to be a necessary part of many of our lives.

Now more than ever, it is time for women of color, especially Black women, to take our power back to heal. Because healing should not be a privilege. Healing is our birthright!

With a mission to amplify this message, DRK Beauty aims to: (i) spread mental health awareness and reduce the stigma in communities of color; (ii) raise funds to continue giving affordable access to mental health and wellness resources; and (iii) demystify the notion of inner vs. outer beauty.
