Driving Lessons for Brandon Barberena
Donation protected
On Monday August 3rd 2020 Brandon Barberena learned what the word understeer means. While traveling northbound on the 15 freeway he encountered what many of us refer to as a short stopper or in his words he was brake checked by a Camaro convertible with Arizona Plates. Regardless of how or why the accident happened what we do know is that the combination of 38 inch tires, 4 inch lift, solid front axle and a sudden stop can and will result in the vehicle darting sideways unexpectedly . When this happens to an inexperienced driver panick ensues and you get T-Boned by a cement truck that punts you down an embankment at the 15/60 freeway. After rolling a few times down a hill you land on 3 wheels in a completely destroyed piece of good old Americana. While we will can never promise you that Brandon won’t drive a Jeep again, we can get him some proper driving lessons to limit the risk moving forward. Any unused funds will
go towards a new Subaru Outback Brandon has had his eye on.... In all seriousness we’re glad Brandon is ok and he’s a decent driver at best. He’s a Jeep fanboi to the core and his 2dr Rubicon was his pride and joy vehicle now a total loss.(I’ve got dibs on the wheels and tires) Having recently achieved bachelor status Brandon now carries the load of being a single parent and supporting two households. In all reality Rubicon status isn’t looking real good for him at the moment . If you’ve ever spent time around the guy or wheeled with him you understand the blow that this is to him personally and to the community. I’ve started this go fund me with a $100 donation to help a friend to Many get back on the trail. I know a Rubi probably isn’t in the cards but maybe we can put together enough money to get him back to his XJ or YJ roots.
