On April 1st, the Kinaffe school in Swinford, Ireland, opened its doors to Ukrainian refugee children who had been relocated to a hotel nearby. These young students have been displaced without their belongings, where they don’t speak the language, amid a war destroying their homeland. It is almost too much to comprehend at any age.

Coastal Dealerships is throwing our support behind the efforts of the amazing staff at the Kinaffe School led by Margaret Reilly. We are learning about their most pressing needs through frequent calls and emails and receiving regular progress updates about the students' achievements and accomplishments.

Coastal is committed to helping the Kinaffe School purchase iPads for each refugee student. The Ukrainian alphabet isn't represented on English keyboards, but an iPad allows the teachers to change the displayed alphabet for the students. We are willing to match donations up to $5,000 to achieve this goal.

The staff at the Kinaffe school is also working to provide all the material, emotional and educational support needed by these children. The demand for warm clothing is increasing as winter approaches and the children grow.
