Drive for 85 - Jim Unke Memorial Scholarship

Do you remember this video? Two years ago, we sought your partnership in recognizing and carrying forward former MLC Athletic Director Jim Unke's legacy of gospel ministry at MLC through the establishment of the Jim Unke Memorial Scholarship. We set a goal of raising $25,000 over 25 days in honor of Jim's 25 years of service to MLC as Athletic Director. You responded with overwhelming generosity to the tune of nearly $50,000!

We are once again seeking your partnership in the spirit of financially supporting the training of future pastors, teachers, and staff ministers at MLC. The Jim Unke Memorial Scholarship ended last calendar year at a balance of approximately $77,000. We have launched "Drive for 85" with the goal of raising $8,000 and pushing the fund balance to $85,000. The campaign culminates in a special program on Saturday, February 15, 2025, at MLC on James M. Unke Court where the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference will posthumously recognize Coach Unke. Every additional dollar allows for an increase in financial support for the future pastors, teachers, and staff ministers for whom Jim had such a heart.
