Skylars Legacy Hope For Change Through Acts of Kindness

This mission comes from lived pain and real hope. In 2017, I lost my daughter, Skylar, to a fentanyl–heroin overdose, and after years of trying to stand back up, I decided to turn that grief into action for people trapped in addiction, homelessness, and despair. What started as a simple idea—using tow trucks as rolling billboards of faith, hope, and practical roadside help—has grown into a full vision to heal communities in Arizona, one person at a time. Through Skylars Legacy A hope for change through Acts of Kindness, a charitable organization, this work is being built as a nonprofit corporation so donations can support real, accountable programs instead of profit. The plan is concrete. First, we will deploy donated mobile dental buses into rehabs and safe zones where people are trying to fix their lives. Then into neighborhoods and homeless encampments in Arizona to restore people’s health, dignity, and confidence right where they are. And in the process showing the government the need for such programs. At the same time, we will work to convert vacant and underused properties into safe, sober transitional housing, including halfway and three‑quarter houses, safe houses, single‑family homes, and dedicated homes for homeless veterans and people with PTSD.These are not just beds and clinic chairs; they are on‑ramps back into community. Through partnerships with mental health professionals, addiction counselors, and veteran‑focused providers, the goal is to surround people with the support they need to choose recovery and rebuild their lives.Your donation will help pay for things that make immediate and visible impact: insurance, fuel, basic medical and dental supplies for the mobile units, initial costs to secure and rehab housing, and the foundational work to complete the nonprofit corporation and 501(c)(3) status so every dollar is tracked and used the right way. It will also help build a small, accountable team so this work does not depend on one exhausted person, but on a stable organization that can serve for years to come.People are dying in this fentanyl epidemic, families are being shattered like mine was, and our streets are filling with people who want help but cannot reach it. There will always be some who say no, but this mission is for the many who still want a chance, if someone will meet them where they are and walk with them toward something better. If you are willing to stand with this effort—to help get the buses on the road, open the doors of safe housing, and give people one more real shot at life—please give what you can and share this campaign. The worst that can happen is that one person gets another chance, and the best that can happen is that whole communities begin to heal.Thank you for reading and for any support you can offer.John Archer
