Hi,

my name is Fabian, and I am writing these words on behalf of my colleagues at Autodesk.

With a heavy heart, we learned that our colleague Driss Yammouri passed away on August 5th, after suffering a heart failure the weekend before. There are no words that can capture the sorrow and shock we feel. Driss was more than a teammate - He was mentor, leader and friend to so many of us during his more than 20 years at Autodesk.

Many of us had the privilege of working closely with Driss - and even those who didn’t knew of his impact. His passion for our vision, our customers, and above all our people shone through in every interaction. Driss lived our Autodesk values. Whether leading initiatives, mentoring others, lighting up the dance floor at our Autodesk events, or cheering at the football tournaments, you could not miss his energy and warmth. He made work feel like community.

During this time of mourning, we would like to honour Driss’ memory in a way that continues to bring blessings – both in this life and the next.

In Islam, giving charity (Sadaqah Jariyah) on behalf of the deceased is one of the most meaningful and lasting ways to benefit their soul.

All your contributions will go to a charity organization selected by Driss family. It would be great if you could make your contribution until September 19th, at which point we want to deliver the funds.
