Drilling a well for living water in Kenya, Africa

EMERGENCY!! I am going on a mission trip in January to see drilling through and dedicate a life-saving well in drought-stricken Lodwar, Kenya in Africa. Longtime friend, Ray Snesrud, is the USA liaison for this project who invited me to go with him on this trip. He pledged that his business would cover half of the cost. My airfare is taken care, but specific needs are remaining funds toward the well. The area is currently experiencing long-term devastating drought that has spanned four failed rainy seasons, over 16 months. Crops are failing and livestock and people are dying. Every day, the people in Lodwar, Kenya, need to walk up to 12 miles to get water. However, the water is used to sustain people, as they are not equipped to bring enough for their cattle. This well will help an estimated 10,000 people in that area have the basic need of fresh water that WE only need to turn a faucet to have. We hope to have funds and the well completed within a few weeks. Please donate to save lives!! The project is being coordinated by PIONEER, through the leadership of Steve Currey, Senior Leader International Division over Europe, Asia, and Africa. Local connection is with church planter, Pastor George Lokwawi who has established several churches in the area, including pastoring one where the well is to be located.
