Drift's Fundraiser

Hyacinth House Greenery is sad to share that we lost our talented florist, Leocadia (Leo) Lovelace.

 

Leo passed away tragically in an auto accident on June 22nd, leaving behind her loving 5 year old son, fiance, and work-family at Hyacinth House. She started working with us in September of 2021 and was a delight in the store - she made every work day better and brighter when she came around.

Leo first came to Hyacinth House looking for plants... but found a broom instead and has worked here ever since. She always offered a helping hand and brought many smiles to our customers because of her down to earth personality. She was known to be an open book and would never leave a detail out, giving her the capability to connect with others through her stories and experiences, and making her relatable to everyone she talked to.

 

If you have ever been to Hyacinth House, you will know that our culture is rare because we treat our staff like family. Leo worked here for less than a year and made an impact on all of us. She was a dear friend, talented florist, and had a map built for long-term success at Hyacinth House.

 

In memory of Leo and to help support her beloved son and world, we are creating a gofundme to collect donations and place them in a 529 savings account. His 529 savings account will be open for donations until he reaches of age, 18, and will be used to help support emergency expenses and a scholarship fund towards education.

 

Hyacinth House will be hosting a Celebration of Life in memory of Leo in July, a date is still TBD.

*Shirts are being made and will be available for $10 per shirt. 100% of the shirt funds will be donated towards Drift's Fundraiser.
