Story:

Hi, my name is Bert. I've spent much of my life helping others in times of need — now, I'm the one who could use a little help.

I recently suffered a torn Achilles tendon, which required surgery. While I do have insurance, the high deductible and out-of-pocket costs have hit me hard. I wasn’t financially prepared for this, and I’ve already had to borrow money just to cover the immediate medical expenses.

I live alone, and the recovery process is long and challenging — both physically and financially. Between mobility issues and limited ability to work during recovery, I’m struggling to keep up with day-to-day expenses.
