Hi everyone,

My name is Aliyana, and I’m reaching out during one of the most challenging times of our lives.

Just 3 months ago, my fiancé, Corey, was in a horrific accident caused by a reckless driver. At just 24 years old, he suffered a severely broken femur and was neglected by the hospital causing blood clots to form. He was promised surgery at 7am and did not get into the OR until 7pm. During that surgery, his heart stopped because the blood clots had traveled to his lungs causing him to go into right heart failure. He coded on the table.

By some miracle, doctors were able to bring him back, but he spent the next four days on support in the Cardiovascular ICU. Those were the longest, most terrifying days of my life. We sat by his side, praying he’d wake up—and he did. But recovery has been slow, painful, and far from over.

He’s had to relearn basic movements, endure excruciating physical therapy, and navigate the emotional trauma of everything he’s survived. He has lost his car, was unable to work, and his credit has been devastated due to medical bills and expenses piling up. Worst of all, we’ve been told we will receive **no compensation** from the person responsible for the accident that nearly ended his life.
