Drew's Road to Recovery Needs You

Hi there! We never thought we would be in this position but due to some unforeseen incidents in the past week, we don't have much of a choice. Last week as Drew and I were out running errands, we were approached by two men attempting to fundraise. Unbeknownst to us, they were scammers and instead of taking the $20.00 donation we promised, they took nearly $5,000.00. Drew and I tried to stop them and in the process they hit me with their car and proceeded to drag Drew while he was hanging out of the car and tried pinning him between vehicles. Eventually, the door hit Drew causing him to fall out of the vehicle and slide 25 feet into a truck bumper and trailer hitch. While I only suffered minor injuries, Drew ended up with a punctured lung, fractured rib, as well as abrasions down his entire right side. Drew ended up in the emergency room where they kept him on oxygen and on watch for two days. On top of the stress of the incident and injury, Drew does not have health insurance and is unable to work while he is recovering, which the doctors estimated 6-8 weeks for his recovery. I am lucky in the fact that I can work remote during my recovery, but I am also currently acting as Drew's full time caregiver as well. We are asking for help with the cost of the bill and if you can't donate, prayers are always welcome and appreciated. Please share our story so people do not fall victim to the same ruse. Thank you.
