Hello! My name is Drew, I’m 29 and transgender.

I have saved enough money to book my top surgery in Madrid in November 2026 and I am so excited!!!

As I’m self employed I have to save extra to afford to live while I recover from surgery as I don’t get any sick pay. This will be 4-6 weeks with no pay and it does make me anxious but I’m doing my best! One of my ferrets passed away last month and cost a fair bit in medical bills so I’m a bit behind on my goal at the moment.

The reason I have opened my gofundme again is I am struggling to save the final bit to get on testosterone. Due to NHS waiting lists I have decided to go private and it’s unfortunately very expensive. I am almost there and feel so fortunate to be at this stage in my transition and for everyone that has helped me so far, it means the world.

It is difficult to live in a body I don’t feel is mine and it’s taking a toll on my mental well being. I would just like to move on with my transition as quickly as I can.
