Drew Williamson, 73, passed away peacefully on January 27 at his home in Fort Collins.
Drew was born in the Philadelphia suburb of Drexelbrook in 1947. His mother, Helen, was beamingly proud of her twin boys, Drew and Keith, when they won the cutest baby award in a local contest!
Drew was a proud Aramco Brat and loved sharing his stories of growing up in Saudi Arabia and attending high school in Leysin, Switzerland. He loved skiing in the alps, played guitar in a band called The Nubs in the mid-sixties, and built friendships that lasted a lifetime. Following graduation from high school in Leysin, Drew attended Colorado State University and was a tried and true lifetime Ram's fan. He cherished the memories of his years at CSU and loved meeting with fellow alums to replay the glory days!
Following graduation from CSU, Drew was honored to serve his country in the United States Marine Corp, where he was trained as a helicopter pilot. He loved flying and took his final helicopter ride from Poudre Valley Hospital to Anschutz Medical Campus on January 21st.
Drew attended Vineyard Church of The Rockies in Fort Collins. Drew was blessed to enjoy the love and fellowship of family and friends and he would want to thank all of them for their love and support over the years. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Helen, father-in-law Phil, his son Ian, and his brother Keith.
Drew will be lovingly remembered by his wife Cindy, son Ryan (Erin), daughter in law Jehann of Irvine California, grandchildren KayLee, Cole and Kieran, mother-in-law Dottie, brother Wayne (Janet), sisters-in-law Wendy (John), and Becky, and nieces Tara (Ryan) and Alise (Jeremy) and their children.
A celebration to remember and honor Drew will be held at a later date.
