Drew was born a healthy baby, but he was run over by a car when he was 19 months old resulting in a lengthy coma and a severe traumatic brain injury. Drew is now in his mid 40s and enjoys every day though every day is full of challenges from dressing to getting around his house and community.

Drew lives with myself (brother-in-law), his sister and his nephews and niece. As a family, we try to get Drew out into the world as much as we can, but since Drew can only walk a few feet with assistance, accessing the world out there is not always easy.

The Hippocampe Wheelchair is designed for all kinds of terrains: sand, gravel and even snow! We are asking for help in purchasing Drew this wheelchair to increase his opportunities for exploring the world. Right now if we try to take a simple walk on a nearby path, someone has to stay home with Drew who misses the trip.

Drew and the rest of our family will be unbelievably thankful for your donations to help us get this world-opening wheelchair for Drew.
