On July 23rd Drew was in a terrible motorcycle accident that left him with severe injuries. He has a crushed vertebrae and damaged spinal chord that has left him paralyzed from the waist down, all of his ribs are broken, his pelvis is broken in three places, and his bladder was ruptured. He has had three surgeries and will need extensive rehabilitation at an inpatient facility in Atlanta, where Shane or Maria will have to stay on site with him. Their stay at the center could be 6 weeks or longer. The medical staff has told the family to expect to spend at least $15,000 on medical bills, including rehabilitation.
