Drew Mawson Memorial Fund
On December 5th, 2019 the world forever changed. Drew Mawson unexpectedly passed away in the morning due to heart complications.
The loss that his family is feeling is tremendous and overwhelming. Drew was a rock to anyone that knew him, never turning away an opportunity to love and help anyone in need. He was the epitome of a loving husband and the perfect Dad. His family was the thing he was most proud of and he made sure the world knew it. He loved life- meeting people and making connections, traveling, building things and eating cookies. We have always joked about how we couldn't go ANYWHERE without Dad running into someone he knew...even if we were half way around the world, we just knew Dad would run into a familiar face! That in part is the purpose of this page, we did not set a goal amount because that is not the intention. We just wanted to provide a place for those who were asking how they could best contribute financially would have a way.
A visitation service will be held at Girdner Funeral Home in Abilene, TX on Monday, December 9th from 5:00-7:00 PM and the funeral will take place at New Hope Church on Tuesday, December 10th at 11:00 AM.
We appreciate all of the love and kind words that have been spoken. Drew was so so loved and to say he will be dearly missed is an understatement.
