On Saturday, December 11, Drew left the house on a borrowed motorcycle to run an errand. Later that day, he woke up in the ER with no memory of how the accident happened. The cause remains undetermined. Thankfully he was wearing his helmet, but still sustained a head injury, internal bleeding, external bruising and stitches along with road rash and contusions up and down his left side. He suffered a serious injury to his left hand involving tendon damage that required surgical repair. Physical therapy will be necessary once he heals enough from his injuries to do so. It is still unknown if his hand will heal well enough to be usable.
Drew's hands are his livelihood. He spends the majority of his time as a chef, and working on drywall, stucco and paint. As you can imagine, he is unable to work and does not know when he will be able to bring in a paycheck again.
Drew and his dog Lemmy don't currently have a place of their own, and they could really use a hand right now to cover his medical expenses, and keep a roof over their heads and food on the table. Please consider making a donation to help Drew out while he recovers from this setback.
