Dreams of publishing my first book

A couple of years ago, I started writing a novel. I didn't think I would ever finish it as I was also at school and not writing every day.
But a year and a half ago, the first draft was done. Couldn't believe it... It was finally over, all I needed to do was review it, edit it myself before sending a draft to publishing houses...
Sadly, you don't get a publishing house in your pocket very easily. Not easy to conquer everyone's heart with your writing as everyone is different.
This first novel I want to publish is about a young woman who is determined to understand her mother’s past. A young woman stubborn, who won’t give up on knowing the truth even if it means a risk can sneak on her at any moment. It’s a journey she will undertake on her trip back to Palermo, Sicily where her grandparents live. Under the rule of the mafia and family secret, she will learn that every truth isn’t worth the risk...
My first novel has been an interesting trip between learning everything I can about the Sicilian mafia, crimes and the psychology behind keeping secrets. While writing the story, I could see my character take form in front of my eyes, I could hear them talk in my head, telling me what to put and what not to put on the blank page.
If I do have a publishing house interested in my novel, I'll be more than happy but I also need to make my own route at some point. Maybe giving myself the opportunity to make myself known to the public as well as my writing would be more than I could ask for... Everything comes with a price and this time, I don't have the money required to make such a deal. I'm going to have to find an editor to edit my novel because there’s a lot to edit! I wrote the first draft as fast as my thoughts were going and I’m pretty sure there are words that are missing.
The process will take time and money which is a reason why I’m taking the time to make a campaign.
I’m not asking for anything, a little help is always grateful.
A long journey is ahead though and I’m ready to take the first step into the writing world.
I’ve always dreamed of becoming a writer, make a story out of ordinary things and create a world where anyone could escape to.
