Hi, my name is Jess and I am working with a few friends to raise money to help a dear and hard working colleague fulfill his dream of becoming a physical therapy assistant. R was brought to America as a child and unfortunately, as part of the Dreamer program, has no option for federal (and most state) student loans/financial aid and no path to becoming a citizen. This is particularly unfortunate, as he has contributed to society not only via paying taxes working full time for his whole adult life, but also via his dedication as a front-line healthcare worker through the covid pandemic.

Our friend R is known for his pleasant, cheery disposition and eagerness to help coworkers, patients, and strangers however he can. He is currently working on a certification for being a medical interpreter in hopes this will help him afford PTA school (where he has already been accepted!!). Those of us who have completed therapy school know how challenging the program is even without working on the side, and we want to help R succeed. He is already an asset to the medical field, and is so deserving of the opportunity to further his career. It would be a true shame for him to miss out on another part of the “American dream” because of outdated and unfair laws. Help us pay tuition and expenses for him to increase his chance of success!
