Dream Internship in South Africa!

To know Emma is truly to love Emma. I know I'm biased as her mom, but it could not be more true. She has always been a hard-working, responsible, clever and kind young woman. At Ohio Wesleyan University, she works on campus, has accomplished the Dean's List for her 1st semester and has been accepted to an amazing opportunity - a month-long internship in South Africa! During May/June 2023, Emma will embark on a journey tailored to her majors and her minor - Public Health, Social Justice and Women's Studies. She will be part of a team working on HIV/AIDS education, women's reproductive health and immunization for South African citizens - with an emphasis on the intersection of women, race and socio-economic status.

This travel-learning course is an opportunity of a lifetime and we are hoping you can help make it a possibility. The cost is usually $9,000 with airfare, food, travel and residency but the university generously covers half of the cost. This GoFundMe campaign will help us work toward our goal of $4,000.
