The Sky’s the Limit: Send Liam Gill to the World Juniors in Sweden!
Coming off a winning performance at the Western Canadian Style Championships, Liam has been invited to participate in the FIS World Junior Championships in Klappen, Sweden, April 7–13, 2019. Your generous donations will go toward accommodations, insurance, coaching fees, and registration.
THE CHOSEN ONES
Canada snowboard chooses the best junior snowboarders in the country who are podium contenders. Competitors will gain a high-performance international competitive experience, and they will be coached in how to prepare for and execute a plan for such an international event. What an incredible opportunity to learn and grow as an athlete and young man.
EVENTS
Slopestyle and Big Air!
GOOD TO KNOW
As a long-time member of Calgary’s snowboard club Riders On Board, Liam has become a respected leader and mentor through his volunteer work, moral support, and generosity of spirit. When he wins a prize—which he does a lot—he often gives it away to someone who needs it or would appreciate it. He celebrates others’ successes, even if their excellent runs bump down his own standing.

WINNING WAYS
Liam recently competed in all four snowboarding disciplines and won gold at the 2019 Canada Winter Games for the half pipe. Coaches from across the country voted him MVP for his friendliness, sportsmanship, and all-around positive influence.

ONWARD AND ESPECIALLY UPWARD
Liam wants his tricks to get bigger, faster, stronger, higher. His goal is to represent Canada in the 2022 Olympics and make his family, friends, and supporters proud.

TACK SKA DU HA
Swedish phrase for thank you that expresses gratitude and emphasizes you. With your support, the sky’s the limit.
