Dream Big for Emily's Transplant

At 8am on MOnday March 20, 2017 we received a call from Jackson memorial hospital transplant division in Miami. They had 4 organs for Emily and would we like to accept them?
We arrived here at 12.30 pm yesterday. Emily was admitted and testing began, it was crazy. Then after things settled down we were informed that the donor would be going to surgery at 3am and a team from Miami would be there. At 5.30 am we got the go ahead and Emily was prepped for surgery. At 8am precisely , exactly 24 hours after our initial call Emily was wheeled into the Operating room. As we left the organs were still in transit.
The surgery lasted around 7 hours and Emily did AMAZINGLY well!!! she is still currently in the ICU and kicking butt!
We set up this Go Fund Me to help Jody and Ian with living expenses while living in Miami for the next 6 months while Emily recovers and continues seeing the team at Jackson Memorial. they will now have to pay a mortgage on a house in sarasota plus all utility bills there, and a monthly rent for the campground where they will be living in an RV until they return home to Sarasota.
