Drea's Medical Mission to Kenya
Donation protected
As I am sure many of you know, I am getting prepared to enter my senior year of nursing school! It is insane how time flies and blows my mind that I will be a Registered Nurse in just a little over a year. In my final summer as a nursing student, I have been given the incredible opportunity to travel on a medical mission trip to rural Kenya. I am so incredibly excited and humbled by this opportunity to love on the people of Kenya with not only the medical skills that TCU has given me, but also with the grace and love that my Savior has given me.
I will be traveling with Nehemiah Teams, who is partnered with the International Mission Board (check them out at http://www.nehemiahteams.com/). I will be on a team of four that will be traveling to rural Kenya to partner with medical teams, churches, and childcare sites that are in need of assistance. I will depart for this adventure on May 31st and arrive back in country on July 26th. I am so excited for the opportunity to serve the people of Kenya in their medical, relational, and spiritual needs.
I am raising support to help finance this trip, which in total will cost roughly $4,500. After seeking the Lord’s discernment in prayer, He has called me to pay for my own plane ticket and various expenses including travel insurance, immunizations, and supplies, while seeking assistance with the program expense. The program itself costs $2,000, and I would greatly appreciate and be so humbled by any contribution. Whether or not you feel led to give financially, I would also appreciate prayers as I enter this summer. You can join me in praying for the hearts of the people we will be working with, for my own heart to serve sacrifically, and for the Lord to be glorified. I am so grateful for your support, whether that is financially, in prayer, or in encouragement.
With Gratitude,
Drea Bock
