Dre the British Bulldog needs a hand after being dumped

So I have decided to set up a Go Fund Me page to help a little bully mate I met on Friday 13th 2024!

Dre is his name (would have also suited Biggie lol)!

He is a 3.5/4 year old British Bulldog who was we think is a COVID dog where the family decided they couldn't be bothered anymore once COVID ended. He wasn't looked after at all and is in a terrible state wth skin issues, which will always be sad for all dogs. People can be such bloody dicks.

Anyway, I wanted to set this up not only for Dre but also to support the charity close to my heart here in Australia that supports Bulldogs (all kinds xx). Mini's Bulldog Rescue Club (www.minisbulldogrescue.com) does amazing things like all Rescues around the world - and I thank you all. Mini's Rescue have taken Dre into their care and placed him with an amazing foster family not far from where I live who are supporting the Rescue and Dre with treatments. The lovely foster family have helped him to put on weight so he can now go into surgery for desexing/neutering as well as start to address the skin issues.

My journey of loving bulldogs started with Fat George (insta: @fatgeorgethebulldog). We got him from a pup and he was amazing. Learned a lot as he had so many issues as he got older - skin, feet, eyes, you name it. In 2019 we got Belle as a rescue from Mini's Rescue when she was 3 after they rescued her and her siblings from a puppy farm. She instantly loved George!

George sadly passed away in April 2022 at just over 9 years. We were so devasted, Belle was so lost. A couple months later Mini's Rescue had another older British Bulldog that got dumped at a shelter, once again because the owner couldn’t be bothered. We followed his journey and he got fostered! Then his lovely foster parents had a serious family emergency and unfortunately couldn't foster him for a long period of time. I felt so sad for him seeing him come up again in Mini's Rescue insta, as he was such an elderly fellow with a sad back story. I messaged the crew at Mini's and asked if he would like to come and live at the Home of Fat George. They said yes! So he became part of our family and was a complete legend!

So devastatingly Burty Boy passed away 3 weeks ago. But we know his last 2 years surpassed any memories before that. He lived his best life and was such a lovely ol man with all his quirks. We miss him so much. Belle still looks for him which is heartbreaking once again.

Whilst we are not in a position to adopt again so soon we want to help both Dre and Mini's Bulldog rescue if we are able to. He was such an awesome bully to meet on Friday, so chilled (Belle was a bit of a biatch but she is Queen Bee and it was only the first meet lol)!

So funny that Dre actually now goes to the same amazing Vet as George and Burt did and Belle does now - we didn't know at all until Friday. I'm so glad as they know my passion with the rescues and do amazing things.

So Dre is in desperate need. I have seen skin issues before in bully's but this is next level (which is why he wears a coat in above pics). There is an amazing dog dermatologist not far from me as well as Melbourne plus an awesome vet who practices Chinese medicine who we also used to help George and Burt with skin and arthritis.

It takes a village.

I would like to raise some funds for Dre's skin assessment and care.

So if you would like to donate to Dre that's just so amazing. Every dollar counts. Even as little as a day's coffee.

But also there are lots of Animal Rescues out there where you live. Look them up, check them out. Yes, while I have set this Go Fund Me up for Dre there are so many in need so we want to raise awareness all round.
