Our Story – About the Campaign
“Draw Your Home” – Art Contest for Ukrainian Children & Youth in Ontario
Since the outbreak of war in Ukraine, thousands of children have been forced to leave their homes and rebuild their lives far from everything familiar. In Canada, many Ukrainian families are striving to provide their children with safety and hope — but the trauma, uncertainty, and sense of loss that come with war do not disappear overnight.
This is why we launched “Draw Your Home”, an art contest for Ukrainian children and youth currently living in Toronto and across Ontario.
Through drawing, children can reconnect with their memories, process their emotions, and express what "home" means to them — whether it’s a place, a person, or simply a dream.
Our Goals:
Provide high-quality art supplies for every participant
Award meaningful prizes to winners across age groups
Present the submitted works to the public
Create a supportive and healing environment where children can express themselves freely through art
All donations will be used exclusively to organize and run the contest, including art materials, logistics, public presentation of the artworks, and prizes.
The project is implemented by the Benjamin Aser Memorial Foundation, a legally registered non-profit organization in Canada dedicated to supporting children and cultural communities.
How You Can Help
Every contribution — no matter how big or small — provides tangible support.
This is more than just an art contest. It’s a chance for children to express themselves, to feel seen and heard, and to reclaim their identity and sense of belonging through creativity.
Application period: October 2025.
Winners announced: December 2025.
Eligibility: Ukrainian children and youth living in Toronto and across Ontario
All supporters will receive access to a digital gallery of the submitted artworks
Let’s make it possible for these children to tell their stories — to know that the world is listening, and that their voices, feelings, and dreams matter.
Donate today and help us transform pain into creation, and fear into freedom — one drawing at a time.
