Drama in Amsterdam. Help needed, please.

Hey! I'm Steve Peterson. I am in Amsterdam and have been robbed. My wallet was picked from a lanyard around my neck and taken. All of the cash I had and my ATM was in the wallet. My credit union is slow to send me a new card because of my location out of the country and it could take 4 weeks. At the moment I have 5 euros in coins. I've tried to wire myself money, to no avail. I'm unable to register, because I'm in the Netherlands, but don't have a home address here, and on and on. I've spent two days trying every way I know. Eventually a new card will get here, I hope, but in the meantime I'm out of money for lodging, or even a return ticket to USA, (utah)

Why am I here? As actors went on strike in LA, I looked for other choices. Amsterdam hosts an improvisational comedy club that has become reknowned for training a slew of successful writers and comics. So..., I thought I'd visit and take some classes and see why they were having such success. It was exciting and I harbored a hope that they'd see the skills I've gained teaching improv, directing it at Walt Disney World and performing it in California recently. I have planned to be here for 6 months.

I am looking for a job on the days when I'm not in class to supplement Social Security. Amsterdam is amazing, but I am not here on a vacation or joytrip. I'm here to learn anbd to hopefully get a new credit on my resume from BoomChicago!

It's all been reported to the Police. The card is stopped, but a number of charges have occurred and authorities have advised my they may use my identity for further fraud.

My dream is to do what I came here to do, making myself more knowledgable on current structures AND use the acquired skills to hone my performances and those I may direct.
