The Characters and Storyline of Dragzilla: The Drag Queen Superhero Comic book

Dragzilla is the story of a gay man living in ficitional place called Straightlandia. It's a city where it's illegal to be out of the closet and it can get you murdered. Hate crime is rampant and no one does anything about it. The LGBTQ community lives in fear. One night the main character whose alter ego name is Andrew is walking home from the only place for gay people to go to for support, called the traingle connection, and he's beat inches from his life in a hate crime by the main villain Roid Rage.

In his our of need he calls out for help and in the last glimmer of his eye a fairy dragmother appears to save him. Glimmer gives him a gift the ablility to transform into a drag queen superhero if he choses to accept it. Will he go back to living in fear or will he fight for the queer people of Straighlandia and fight for justice. He ultimately choses to embrace the person he was born to be, a drag queen superhero.

I believe in Dragzilla. In many ways DZ is who I am or who I want to be. I've not always embraced my gifts and I'm learning to do so as the alternative hasn't gone very well for me. I feel like this project is very origional. I mean how many drag queen crime fighting superheroes do you know?

There isn't a lot of queer represenation in the various forms of media, especially comic books. When I was growing up, in the rural Midwest, I didn't have a lot of role models to look up to. So I went searching to anyone I could find. Superman and Wonder Woman became those figures in my life I looked up to. I hope that Dragzilla becomes an inspiration for our queer youth. Anyone who feels rejected, discarded, different and bullied. We live in a world full of that, especially with the current administration. I hope Dragzilla inspires and reminds people that even they can make a difference. We are all Dragzilla. We might not have super hero powers like invisibility or super strength but we possess something even greater than that... love... Love will ALWAYS trump hate!

Don't you wish there was really a drag queen superhero who stood up for injustice and fought all the bad guys? I know I do. There are so many injustices in the real world, so it's empowering to read/see stories of people like you standing up for themselves and others around you. I hope through my stories that I can make a difference in others lives.

Dragzilla has been my light lately. I ask myself what would Dragzilla do. I'm learning to embrace that motto. I use to think I was seperate from her. I mean I'm not a superhero but then I realized I guess in many ways I am, we all are. I know I have this gift to impact other peoples lives with my art and experiences. I use to think I couldn't have both. I now realize that my art is the key to unlock it all. My goal is so much deeper than going to NYC RuPaul's Drag Con. It is my lifeline. I want to be able to create the comic full time. I deserve it!

Watch out world Dragzilla is coming for you!!!
