Dragon Haven Event Donation Page

This is the Event Donation Gofundme for the attendees and Tribe members of Dragon Haven events.

A message for all contributors from Jennifer: "We want to stay 100% free to attend. I know what it’s like to live paycheck to paycheck…. And I don’t want people to not come because they can’t afford it. We want this to be a safe haven for all. If you can donate, we appreciate it. This last Yule gathering cost us almost a thousand dollars personally between the gifts for the kids, wood, etc. We want to do things like building a shower house, so people who want to camp (for free) will have a place to get clean. 100% of any donations will go toward the costs incurred for the Tribe. I’m so very thankful for all of you, and we are so very happy to have Tribe."

 

Please feel free to contribute whatever you can for each event as an attendee. The most practical base donation is $20 for an adult and $10 per child to cover wood and amenities, however this is definitely not mandatory. Do not let this get in the way of your attendance- we want you here as Tribe first and foremost. The greatest gift you can give is yourself being with us.

 

Money donated here will go to funding the next scheduled event in the Wheel of the Year to be celebrated at Dragon Haven, to assist in building Community. Jennifer and Larry are Deities Incarnate for doing so much work for us at their own expense, and as a matter of course we should maintain a publicly viewable funding account where we can make a sizable contribution of our own, and post expenses that are viewable to our Community, so everyone knows what's needed and what costs we have.

 

Withdrawals will be accessible to Jennifer and Larry Douglass, and myself (Alison Carter) unless and until a Treasurer is elected, with approved reimbursement of submitted receipts going to organizers via Venmo or Zelle. Project proposals can be submitted privately to Jennifer or via the DH Tribe page. After money is raised for each event, bookkeeping on this end will be available to all Tribe, which we will organize presently.

 

The fundraiser is currently set at 150K just to keep this project ongoing and to have it pinned before events and gatherings.

 

This fundraiser will cover the following:

-Craft supplies for Maker projects in line with celebrating the Wheel, for kids and adults.

-Wood chopping labor for our stone circle bonfire and patio fire. There's a LOT of it!!

-Construction labor for wicker men, Bel-fires, etc, along with maintaining existing grounds equipment.

-Cleaning labor after gatherings.

-Wood chip and grounds clearing/maintenance for camping areas and gathering areas.

-Cleaning supplies, ie for portajohns, downstairs bathrooms toiletries, sanitizer.

-Maintenance and replacement when necessary of feast tables, shelters, and seating.

-Fuel purchases for shelter heaters.

-Wine and feast sacrament for circles when necessary.
-A future shower house!

-Eventual future purchase of an electric golf cart or 4 wheeler for safety officers as attendance increases.

-Future Pagan Youth projects and outings in herbology, mycology, volunteering, etc

-An eventual craft booth at Pagan Pride to benefit Tribe and events.

-Eventual legal Counsel retainer for Operating Agreements and establishing tax status.

-Community procedural meetings hosting and catering whenever necessary, including elections for community liaisons and other essential roles in organization.
