Dragon boat team tragedy

In behalf of my team Boracay DragonForce and DragonFlies I would like to express our heartfelt gratitude for the continuous support we’ve been receiving globally. I would also like to take this time to formally introduce myself as per suggestion by Gofundme.
My name is Remedy Regulacion Aquino-Nation aka Remy Nation I am the teams Vice- President as elected in 2016. I am both residents of Boracay Island and the USA. Currently, I am based in Miami Beach, FL
It has been brought to our attention that there were questions on why the fundraiser is of US address as opposed to Philippines or Boracay and therefore I’d like to share this link where it addresses and hopefully answers such questions:

To summarize it states that the Philippines is not a supported country, hence we would have not been able to raise our current donation funds without the US, or UK, Germany, etc address.
To quote a teammate Trudy Allen
“No one truly understands what a Dragon boat family is, we're not just friends we're family. We've trained together, we truly have to be in tune with each other, work together and that builds a bond that is stronger than mere friendship.”
And though I am thousands of miles away I know it is my responsibility to still do my part as a family member. Taking the liberty of using my US address to help in whatever ways I can.
This funds will be withdrawn by me in my US bank account, which will be then remitted to our BDO Phils bank account.
This is a 3-person signatory account opened specifically for the families of our 7 paddlers. All donations will be recorded and accounted for and the funds will be split equally between the 7 families.
We’re overwhelmed with all the love we’ve been receiving globally and know that we’re truly encouraged and we cannot thank you enough for the strength you’ve all been providing us in this trying times.

We are heartbroken at the deaths of 7 of our paddlers, from Boracay Dragonforce and Boracay Dragonflies, today.
While the devastation on the lost of our team members lives is immense, the families are left scurrying to find a way to give the deceased team members proper burial and the means to keep on going in these difficult times.
Like all dragon boat teams, we are a family and we are a family in mourning. We are appealing for your help, every little bit helps. And thank you.
