Drag Queen Colouring Book
The Ottawa Landmarks Edition. 

Thanks to Awesome Ottawa for kickstarting our first FREE Drag Queen Colouring Book project, featuring  Ottawa’s very own legendary drag performer, China Doll.  

Our 2nd edition Drag Queen Colouring Book will be bigger and better, with 12 pages instead of 8, featuring China Doll in front of Ottawa’s most famous landmarks. There might even be a special appearance from one of China Dolls friends?! Most importantly, this colouring book will remain accessible and FREE for everyone to enjoy

We want to continue using email and snail mail to get as many colouring books out to everyone as possible. It’s important for us to create a safe and accessible activity everyone can do in the safety of their homes, especially for those struggling with isolation at home during the pandemic.

Life is a struggle, no doubt about it and Covid 19 isn’t making it any easier. We want to keep inspiring everyone to stay creative, to colour with ALL the colours in the crayon box and to have fun thinking outside the box too.

How donations will be used

Emailing a printable PDF colouring book is easy and inexpensive. Your donations will go towards every step involved in developing the second edition of our colouring book, from brainstorming initial ideas, to sketching, computer renderings, to the costs of printing, packaging, right down to buying the postage stamp.

Creativity is an essential skill that needs to be nurtured. Your donations help.

A bit about us

This project is by Baby Doll and Hubby aka Don Kwan and John Cameron 

I’m Don Kwan, visual artist & community builder based in Ottawa & little brother to Ottawa’s Drag Icon China Doll aka Ed Kwan. John is my husband & creative collaborator on this project. Together we were affectionately nicknamed by China Doll as “Baby Doll & Hubby”.


China Doll is the gender-bending alter ego of performance artist, Ed Kwan. A Ottawa based drag performer who uses her “over the top” drag character to spread love, joy and laughter. She weaves humour into her everyday appearance and performances to broaden conversations about queer identity & culture.
