I'm Adam Dorey, and I'm a drag and drive aholic.

In February 2025, the owner of the Drag-n-Drive trademark reared his head again and began leveraging his trademark against his competition in the drag and drive world. He had already, a year prior, been caught doing the same, and the community stood together and got him to offer the trademark to use freely within the community.

He decided to reneg on his promise to the community and I decided to take matters into my hand and, with 1,000 co-petitioners, I filed a cancellation for the drag-n-drive trademark. In my opinion, it obviously wasn't going to be used to protect the community anymore, it was going to be used to persecute his competition, so it was time for the generic term to be available to use for the entire community with no strings attached.

During the gathering of signatures, a LOT of folks told me personal stories of dealing with this guy, so I started telling the community some of those stories. This led to a cease and desist drafted up for me, as well as posturing for a litigation for the same. Now working against two fronts, I, with my attorney, offered him multiple ways out, in an effort to save his name, and to possibly even help him restart his event. He continually has doubled, tripled, and quadrupled down at every possible impasse. It's obvious he's willing to fight until the ship is underwater, so I'm going to need to do the same, and now I need help to fund attorneys for a maximal response to both the trademark cancellation, and to an ongoing posturing for a defamation defense as well.

I never wanted to include racer money to fight against him, but at this point I feel as though I have no other recourse. I'd appreciate the help if you can help, but don't you dare give me anything you can't afford to help with! I am currently out about $1000 of my own dollars, which is my gift to the community.

If I have any overpayment, I'll figure out a way to return this to the community as a whole, and you have my word on that!
