Help Maddy Heal

I created this fundraiser on behalf of a dear family friend, Maddy, who has endured an incredibly painful and challenging pregnancy loss journey over the past year and a half. Maddy has been part of our family since our first daughter was just three months old. She has loved and protected our babies with care and devotion—and now, it’s our turn to take care of her.

In the last 18 months, Maddy has faced two life-threatening ectopic pregnancies. Her first pregnancy in March 2024 tragically was discovered to be ectopic and required emergency surgery. While it was life-saving, the surgery led to serious complications and long-term side effects. She was even more heartbroken to learn that there were two embryos, meaning she lost a twin pregnancy.

Afterward, Maddy endured months of follow-up treatments, tests, and uncertainty. This past December, she was overjoyed to learn she was pregnant again—only to be devastated when another ectopic pregnancy was discovered. The complications from her first surgery worsened her condition, and after months of pain and rapid weight loss, she underwent a second major operation in May 2025.

The emotional toll of losing two pregnancies, combined with the trauma of repeated medical emergencies, has left Maddy navigating a long and difficult road to healing—physically, emotionally, and financially. Despite her strength and resilience, the financial burden, worsened by having to miss so much work, has become overwhelming. That’s why we’re asking for your help.

Every dollar donated, apart from GoFundMe's fees, will go directly towards paying off Maddy's medical bills, which total nearly $10,000 (after insurance has been billed), or to funding mental health care and grief counseling for both Maddy and her husband.
