My beloved husband, Des Patton, died from oesophageal cancer on the 15th January this year.
We are all bereft.
In order to help research for this cancer I’m taking part in a Portuguese Camino walk on 13th June organised by the Irish medical charity Breakthrough Cancer Research.
This charity is directing its resources to fund collaborative research designed to fund networks of the best scientists/researchers at institutions across the island of Ireland, to develop new and innovative approaches to improving cancer outcomes.
Breakthrough Cancer focuses on developing treatments for five of the most difficult to treat cancers including oesophageal cancer.
You can find out more here https://breakthroughcancerresearch.ie/
I need to raise €1,500 to take part in this walk. I, and our families, would really appreciate it if you could donate.
