Donation protected
It is with a heavy heart that we share the news of Dr. Xiaoqing Wang's passing. Xiaoqing, a beacon of positivity, kindness, and resilience, left us too soon, just two weeks shy of her 46th birthday. Her spirit, as vibrant and unyielding as the sunshine she embodied, will forever light up the lives of those she touched.

About Xiaoqing:

Born in China, Xiaoqing's journey to the United States began with graduate schools (Central Michigan U. and U. Pittsburgh). After graduation, she started her career as an assistant professor at U. Maryland Business School, then later joined CapitalOne Bank and FINRA. It marked a life filled with adventure, love, unparalleled work ethic and a deep appreciation for the beauty of nature. Her love for outdoor activities, such as swimming, surfing, playing volleyball, skiing, camping, and travel, was only surpassed by her love for her family. Xiaoqing was a devoted wife to Yik-Kiong (YK) Hue, a cherished mother to Emma (9 years old) and Donald (13 years old), and a caring single daughter to her 74-year-old mother. Her fight against kidney cancer was a testament to her strength and resilience. For five months she battled with courage and grace, a true hero in the face of adversity. Her desire was simple yet profound: to be with her children and to guide them through life, ensuring they would grow up surrounded by love and happiness.

Xiaoqing was not just a daughter, wife and mother; she was a friend, a coworker, and a family member who brought joy to everyone around her. Her positivity was infectious, her kindness unwavering, and her spirit indomitable. As one of her last wishes, she chose to donate her cornea to give sight to others, embodying her spirit of compassion and selflessness. This act of generosity, even in her absence, is a testament to her commitment to making a difference in the lives of others, highlighting her enduring legacy of love and kindness.
