UPDATE: Half of the tuition fees have been paid. JazakAllah khair for your donations may Allah accept it from you all and may it weight heavy in your scale of good deeds. Ameen.
Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullah wa Barakatuh,
I pray you and your family had a joyful and blessed Eid, filled with Allah’s mercy, barakah, and peace. May Allah accept your fasting, prayers, and sacrifices, and may He continue to raise you in goodness and honour.
Wallahi, this message is not easy for me to send. You have already supported me in a way I’ll never forget, and I constantly make du’a for you. May Allah reward you immensely and continue to bless your wealth, health, and family.
As you know my father lost his job in Saudi and couldn't find another so had to return to Nigeria
Alhamdulillah, my dad recently got his old job in Nigetia back, and we are grateful for that. But after nearly a year of being out of work, he is still in debt, and now that he’s earning in naira which is severely depreciated (almost ₦2,200 to £1) it’s very difficult for him to help me the way he used to.
The responsibility of my final year tuition £14,700 now rests entirely on me. I tried to get a placement year so I could raise the funds, but it didn’t work out by the will of Allah. I’ve reached out to several brothers, Islamic organisations, and local mosques for help, but unfortunately, I haven’t received any positive response. Work has also slowed down, and I’ve exhausted every option I could find.
I’ve come too far to give up now this is my final year, and I just need support to cross the finish line. If I can manage to raise even half or close to it, I’ll find a way to handle the rest through any halal means available to me.
My aunt considered taking a bank loan to help, but it would involve interest, and wallahi, that’s something I cannot accept. I fear the consequences of riba and would never want to be the reason someone enters into that kind of contract.
So with a heavy heart but hopeful spirit, I’m reaching out to you again. Please don’t feel any pressure even advice or direction would mean a lot to me. And if there’s any masjid or community that can help, I’m more than willing to volunteer by teaching Qur’an to children for free throughout the year. Also, if you happen to have any work or jobs I can assist with, I’ll gladly do it bi idhniLlah. I’m not lazy, and I’m ready to put in the effort wherever possible.
May Allah continue to bless you with khayr in both worlds, and may you never taste hardship except that it becomes a source of elevation for you.
