Dr. Sreenathan Chakravarthy

On February 21, 2024, our loving husband, father, and grandfather was diagnosed with Stage 4 cholangiocarcinoma (bile duct cancer). Unfortunately, it was non-operable and, after a few weeks on hospice, he died on March 14, surrounded by his family. He was so grateful for his wonderful life, family and friends.

We greatly appreciate all of the love and support from so many people who care about him. In the last few weeks of his life, he and his wife Sudha were awed by the number of people who reached out.

In lieu of flowers, we ask anyone interested in giving to donate to a cause near and dear to Sreenathan's heart: the Saptrishi Ashram, a community school for the poor in Haridwar, India.

Sreenathan was very passionate in his support for this Ashram. We created this GoFundMe to collect contributions from anyone interested in making a donation to the ashram in his memory, and will ensure that all collected funds are transferred to the Ashram in his name. Please note that, as we have not had the opportunity to create a formal 501(c)(3) organization, these contributions will not be tax-deductible for any party.
