I have been selected as a presenter at the 2026 Southern Association for Counselor Education and Supervision (SACES) conference, 4th November-7th November, 2026, in Louisville, Kentucky.

A lot of work goes into research, and submitting proposals for an opportunity of being selected as a conference session presenter/facilitator.

It is not a paid opportunity. All expenses are on the individual, and in this case, me. My application for funding support was not selected.

I have paid for my registration, but I need your support with travel, lodging, and meals.

As a new professional in this field, presentations, research, and publications factor into being considered for faculty positions and, once faculty, promotion and tenure. My session will highlight, in their/our own voice, international students, new professionals, and faculty need for mentorship and support in counseling and related programs in the United States (US). And, by extension, other minority voices in various programs as well.
