Please pray!!! Many of you know our Dad as your Pastor, Assistant Pastor, College Professor, Sunday School Director, Float Coordinator, School Administrator, or maybe just a Counselor and friend. To our family he has been a godly example of someone who is willing to humbly follow God’s direction, no matter where that may lead. He has shown us how to trust God in difficult times when having faith is hard. And, he is someone who stands for truth no matter what anyone else says.
This past Saturday (March 30th), he was working out in the yard with us girls and mom. After about 20 minutes of working, he collapsed. He lost all color and his speech became unintelligible. We took him to Greenville Memorial’s ER and they immediately checked him for a stroke and heart attack. We were very relieved that all they found was an irregular heartbeat called a ventricular bigemini. After the way he collapsed, they decided to double check things with an echo gram and stress test. Unfortunately, the stress test only made things more confusing for them. On Monday, April 1st, he had a heart cath done that showed he would need a quadruple bypass surgery. This coming Friday, April 5th, he will be having open heart surgery. Please pray for him, the surgeons, and our family!
As a result of the surgery he will not be able to work for at least a month and a half. With our mom taking care of Grandma full time, our parents will be without income for that time. We are setting up a GoFundMe Account to help them with medical expenses and any other expenses that may come. Please consider giving toward a man that has given his life in serving the Lord!
