Dr. Nicole Dionisio

Nicole had emergency brain surgery to remove a tumor on April 21. The surgeons were successful in removing the whole tumor. We were looking forward to a quick recovery. In fact, I had planned to join Rachel to assist in Nicole's recovery. But as most of you know, we learned that Nicole wasn't doing so well after surgery.  From surgery to around mid-May, Nicole was in and out of a coma. She had to be put on a ventilator, then a trach, and also had a GI tube inserted.  Needless to say, Nicole is not home and likely won't be home for a while. As of May 20th, Nicole is awake and beginning to talk. She is unable to move her arms and legs. The results from the test of the tumor came back revealing cancer (Osteosarcoma). Cancer of the bone, and in Nicole's case, of her skull.  At the beginning of this "journey", I set up a meal train account to assist with funding healthy meals to Nicole while recovering at home. Because Nicole is not home and has spent an extensive amount of time in the hospital, Rachel and I thought it would be a good idea to close out the Meal Train account and open a go fund me account. These funds will be used for Nicole's needs as either she or her caregivers (Rachel, her mom and dad, and close friends) see fit.  The meal train account raised $460 and I wanted those donors to know that we are so thankful and your contribution is greatly appreciated.
