My dad Nathaniel Alabi Sr. was a  man of faith and humor. He was private but at the same time could be the center of attention in any group. His wit and intelligence were not only evident in conversations but in his love for writing.  He loved history and sometimes wished he had majored in that subject instead of degrees in Animal Science. His PhD in that field is an attribute to the diverse nature of is intelligence and broad range of subject matter he could master.
Unfortunately, the last few years of his life were a great challenge to his faith. A number of medical issues led to his retirement from real estate and other ventures. Dad missed a medical appointment and was found gone to be with the Lord on October 23rd, 2020. He is survived by his two daughters and son. We as a family are asking for support to bring him home to Houston, Texas from Memphis, Tennessee.  Bringing our dad home across states is a challenging and financially overwhelming task.  Despite all that is happening in the world around us, the faith in God he instilled in his children, allows us to have confidence that through the generosity and love of our friends and family, we will meet and exceed the financial costs of his medical expenses and burial costs.
