The Dr. Liz Hicks Founders Scholarship Award is presented to a GALA Senior that embodies the core values of Excellence, Leadership, Wellness, and Honor.
Last year was our first graduating class and I personally fully funded the Founder Scholarship Award. In order to make a more significant impact, my goal is to increase the amount of the award this year and to guarantee the scholarship will continue for future GALA girls.
This year, for my birthday, won't you help me in changing a GALA girl's life by donating to the scholarship fund! Together, we can make a difference! Any size donation will help make an impact.

LEARN MORE: Girls Academic Leadership Academy (GALA): Dr. Michelle King School for STEM was founded by Dr. Liz Hicks in 2016. She fought to bring an all-girls PUBLIC school model to LAUSD for over 3 years and her passion for providing a world class STEM education for girls led her to the creation of GALA.
Funds are held with our parent non-profit 501(c)(3) Friends of GALA and donations are tax deductible. Friends of GALA supports and furthers the charitable and educational mission of the Girls Academic Leadership Academy (GALA), the first all-girls public STEM school in LAUSD and California.
