Support scholarships for future scientists from Roosevelt HS
Donation protected
For the past five years, two outstanding seniors at Theodore Roosevelt High School in Kent, Ohio have each been awarded a $2,000 scholarship to support their pursuit of a college degree in science, math or engineering. These scholarships have been awarded in memory of Dr. R. Mitch Lambert, who taught Chemistry at Roosevelt High School in Kent, Ohio for 27 years and was deeply loved by his students and colleagues for his sense of humor, his passion for learning, and his expertise at everything.
In 2020, the first memorial scholarships in Mitch's name were awarded to seniors at Theodore Roosevelt High School who were entering a STEM major in college. Since then, a total of twelve outstanding future scientists have received scholarships to support their studies.
To continue offering these scholarships after his passing in 2019, his former RHS Science Department colleagues have formed the Dr. R. Mitch Lambert Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. All donations from this fundraiser are fully tax-deductible and will go directly to supporting two more future scientists from Roosevelt High School's Class of 2025 and 2026 as they pursue their degrees. Every bit helps!
